Short CV
Anna Śrębowata obtained her PhD with distinction (in 2007) and habilitation (in 2016) at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where she works as a professor at the Institute. Her research interests focus on the synthesis and physicochemical characterization of new materials based on transition metals important in heterogeneous catalysis with particular emphasis on the continuous - processes of industrial and environmental importance, e.g. chemo- and enantio-selective hydrogenation and catalytic water purification. Her research efforts currently focus on applying novel and economical single-atom catalysts active in continuous-flow hydrogenation of the precursors of relevance to the fine and pharmaceutical industries.
She is a co-author of over 60 papers in journals from the JCR list, over 80 conference presentations and a co-author and editor of a book on hydrogenation reactions on transition metals as catalysts. So far, she has participated in implementing 11 projects financed by the National Science Center, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Foundation for Polish Science, including five as a project leader. Since 2011, she has been a member of the Polish Chemical Society, as well as a member of the Polish Catalysis Club. Since 2015, she has been a member of the Polish Zeolite Society and the Foundation for Polish Science Scholarship Holders Club. She was awarded the Polish Intelligent Development Award 2020 in the category Scientist of the Future. So far, she has reviewed 16 doctoral dissertations and three habilitations. She is currently a scientific supervisor in 3 doctoral dissertations.
